Whew! Got a couple of Zinnia seed packs - thanks for the reminder! Hope all goes well with Farmer 🤞 cancer in dogs is such a sad diagnosis, there is no easy way through it.
Thank you, Susie! I still have two Goldens. Rosie will be 12 in April, and every day is a gift. I pray that she stays well as long as possible and doesn’t get cancer. Lucy is 7 and 1/2. Thank you again - my best to you, Susie!
Hi Susie, I’ve been wanting to message you since you wrote your essay about leaving Farmer, and today hearing about the lump has made me do it. I remember when you, Roy and Libby first got Farmer. I have lost three Golden Retrievers to three different cancers, the most recent being my Cali two weeks before we moved to South Carolina last April. She had liver cancer. I’m still grieving for her as well as my husband who had Parkinson’s and died a year and a half ago and our family and friends from Concord, New Hampshire, where I lived for over 50 years. I know how very hard it is to watch our beloved animals slowly fail and leave us. They offer unconditional love for life, and I’ve learned that the greatest gift of love that we can give them is to let them go when they’re suffering, no matter how hard it is for us. I’ve been fortunate enough in Concord to have wonderful vets who came to our home so that we could all say goodbye there. Please know that I’m thinking of and praying for you and hope for the best for your beautiful Farmer.
