Thanks for sharing this Susie. You touch on so many powerful and personal points in your life. The AA friends I’ve had as lifeguards I’ll always have. Just FYI men do this as well as women do although I understand that’s my experience and maybe not yours. There are angels among and we too can do the same for others when called. 🙏

When I reread this before sending it to you that aside about women kind of snagged me...I have great male friends in the program and have watched them help each other immensely. I salute you guys. Of course in early sobriety - and in a marriage that was fraught - my sponsor was advising me to surround myself with women 😃.

We don't make it on our own, that's for sure. Thanks for naming the angels. You have me now thinking of mine....

Hi Lou! So much fun with you this weekend. Next time, we'll have to bring the peanut butter sandwiches and notebook along on the hikes! Thank you for ALL you do for me! (nothing to live up to - you surpassed that long ago...) I love exclamation points! xoxoxo

Hi Priscilla - I don’t know about that 😂 but thank you. I think your doggie Charlie was an angel, so I am sure they are everywhere! Thank you.

Oh my, that is very kind of you. Thank you for being a long-time subscriber. I try to stay on the positive side of things both to remind myself of the good stuff and to try to swim upstream against all the negative stuff out there!
